Have you ever walked or driven past a beautiful garden with healthy greenery all around and wondered how they do it? Much of a garden’s beauty or nice green lawn is how it’s watered or irrigated. The most successful way to water a mulched landscape or flower bed is with drip irrigation, the brownish tubing that you sometimes see under the mulch on a property.
Aqua-Bright installs and services all brands of irrigation systems, like Rainbird, Hunter, and Toro. Our systems are easy to operate, and we provide a 7-year warranty on all installations. For more information about how drip irrigation systems work, please call Aqua-Bright at 410-489-9009.
Why Does Drip Irrigation Matter?
Drip irrigation is the slow and consistent release of water through a flexible piping known as dripline. Overhead irrigation, such as impact sprinklers or rotors, covers plants with water like rain. Plants such as shrubs, trees, or flowers prefer the targeted and controlled water application.
Since drip irrigation is more controlled, it’s more efficient. Overhead irrigation is usually measured in gallons per minute, whereas drip irrigation is measured per hour. This slow water drip guarantees that water will go where it needs to go—down the soil where it can be absorbed and distributed—no more wasting water!
Applications of Drip Irrigation
Property owners can use drip irrigation in various garden and yard settings and larger agricultural settings. The flexible pipe may be laid down in numerous configurations and personalized to fit your specific needs. Drip irrigation uses different soil types – sand, clay, silt, or loam.
Because of the wide range of terrains that can arrange irrigation lines, some types of driplines are pressure-compensated. This allows a steady flow rate, even on an incline or on long lines of plants. The non-pressure-compensating drip tubing is okay for installations with shorter or flat runs.
Maintaining Your Drip System
Drip irrigation systems require more maintenance than conventional ones. Aqua-Bright offers customized maintenance agreements based on your needs. Our customers can choose single-service or seasonal service programs for all of our custom-built systems. Like our other irrigation systems, you may connect your drip irrigation system to Bluetooth or WiFi to oversee your devices remotely.
